Last updated:
Who we are
This website is operated by Tech-Info Advisory, an independent specialist automotive advisory practice.
The operating legal entity responsible for this website has not been separately identified in the website materials reviewed for this draft. That detail should be confirmed before final publication.
Scope of this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through this public website, including information submitted through the advisory enquiry form on the Contact page.
It does not describe the privacy arrangements for a client engagement. Those arrangements are governed by separately agreed proposals, statements of work, client agreements or other engagement documents.
Personal information we collect
Based on the functionality currently implemented on this website, Tech-Info Advisory may collect the following personal information when you submit an advisory enquiry:
- first name and last name;
- role or title (if provided);
- organisation name;
- phone number (if provided);
- email address;
- message content; and
- privacy consent confirmation.
Information we do not intentionally collect through the enquiry form
The enquiry form includes a hidden anti-spam field that legitimate users should not complete. Information submitted only through that field is not processed as an enquiry.
This website does not currently provide user accounts, subscriptions, billing, downloads requiring registration or other authenticated services.
How we collect personal information
Personal information is collected when you choose to submit the advisory enquiry form on the Contact page and confirm the privacy consent checkbox.
Like most websites, this site may also generate standard technical information through hosting and delivery infrastructure, such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL and request timestamps. The extent of that information depends on the hosting provider and server configuration.
Why we collect and use personal information
Tech-Info Advisory uses enquiry information for purposes connected to the enquiry itself, including to:
- receive and review your enquiry;
- contact you about your enquiry;
- assess whether and how Tech-Info Advisory may respond;
- maintain a record of website enquiries within Tech-Info Advisory’s enquiry and client-management processes; and
- operate, maintain and improve this website at a proportionate level.
Disclosure to service providers
Tech-Info Advisory uses service providers that are identifiable from the current website implementation:
- Salesforce — validated enquiry submissions are transmitted server-side to Salesforce using Web-to-Lead so that Tech-Info Advisory can receive and manage the enquiry in its CRM environment.
- Vercel — this website is deployed using Vercel, which provides hosting and content delivery infrastructure and may process technical log information in connection with that service.
Overseas disclosure
Some service providers used for website hosting or enquiry handling may store or process information outside Australia. Where that occurs, Tech-Info Advisory expects handling to be proportionate to the service provided, but the exact locations and contractual protections should be confirmed before final publication of this Policy.
Storage, security and retention
Tech-Info Advisory takes reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
Enquiry information submitted through this website is handled through controlled server-side processes rather than direct browser submission to third-party endpoints. Exact retention periods for enquiry records should be confirmed in Tech-Info Advisory’s internal records-management practices and final legal review.
Access, correction and complaints
You may request access to, or correction of, personal information Tech-Info Advisory holds about you by contacting us through the Contact page.
If you have a concern about how personal information has been handled, please contact us first so the matter can be reviewed. If a concern remains unresolved, you may be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
Privacy Act and Australian Privacy Principles
Tech-Info Advisory handles personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply to Tech-Info Advisory’s activities.
Nothing in this draft Policy should be read as a representation that Tech-Info Advisory is, or is not, an APP entity in any particular regulatory sense. That status should be confirmed through legal review.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand website traffic and usage at an aggregate level, including page views, referring sources, approximate geographic location, browser, operating system and device type.
Vercel Web Analytics is configured as a privacy-focused analytics service. It does not use cookies to identify visitors and does not provide Tech-Info Advisory with information that directly identifies individual website visitors. Visitor identification is derived from a temporary hash created from the incoming request and is reset after a limited period.
Tech-Info Advisory does not currently use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, advertising trackers, social-media pixels or other marketing tracking technologies on this website.
Because the analytics technology currently deployed does not use analytics or advertising cookies, this website does not currently display a cookie consent banner solely for analytics purposes.
Tech-Info Advisory may review its analytics and consent approach if additional tracking, marketing or cookie-based technologies are introduced in the future. Any such change should be reflected in this Privacy Policy before those technologies are used in production.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
Tech-Info Advisory may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised last-updated date.
